Derfor var det en gledens dag da KV Svalbard spiste seg gjennom isen opp hit. KV Svalbard sj\u00f8satte Sj\u00f8bj\u00f8rn p\u00e5 den ene siden som ble fri for is. De arbeidet seg innover mot land mellom isflaka og skj\u00f8t s\u00e5 ei line inn til oss. Med denne kunne vi dra inn ei slepeline som vi festet til rana-b\u00e5ten og s\u00e5 ble denne vinsjet ut til Sj\u00f8bj\u00f8rn. Forsyninger ble lastet over i rana-b\u00e5ten og s\u00e5 kunne vi bruke traktoren til \u00e5 dra b\u00e5ten inn til land.
